The winners of the 2018 Construction Marketing Awards have been announced, with two companies very much to the fore, taking home eight awards between them!
Jewson had a great night, winning three awards, something which has only been done a few times before. However, even this great achievement was surpassed by Certsure, who went home with five awards!
Certsure won Best Product Launch, Best use of Events and Live Marketing, Best use of Advertising and Best Big Budget Campaign, with their Lucia Garcia carrying off the Young Marketer of the Year award. Jewson won Best Digital Campaign, Best use of Social Media, and Best Distributor Campaign.
The winners were announced at a glittering gala dinner in London with the 23 winners and five Highly Commended carrying off the prized trophies.
Prysmian won the coveted Strategic Planning and Management award, which was presented by Chartered Institute of Marketing Chief Executive Chris Daly, and Gibbs & Dandy won the key Marketing Team of the Year award, presented by overall sponsor Simon Mahoney of Barbour ABI.
The Construction Marketing Awards showcase the construction industry’s creativity, innovation and effectiveness in marketing. This year saw more entries than ever and judges said they were of a very high standard, so just getting on the shortlist was harder than ever.
In addition this year saw the inclusion of a light-hearted competition for the Best Promotional Giveaway, with the winner – Constructing Excellence Kent’s construction jobs top trumps – decided by a vote of the dinner guests at the Gala Awards Dinner.
