Wavin won the Marketing Team of the Year prize at this year’s Construction Marketing Awards announced on December 3rd at a glittering ceremony in London.

The judges said that the Wavin UK Marketing team consistently achieve impressive results “with an excellent track record and a highly regarded reputation both within and without their company.”

Ridgemount were announced as Agency of the Year at this year’s Gala Dinner

The big agency winners were Ridgemount who won a total of six categories, including the Agency of the Year award. They are a great example of a business doing right for its clients and doing right for itself in the process, said the judges. “More a partner to its clients than a service provider.”

All the finalists gathered at the Hilton London Bankside for the 24th Gala Dinner, hosted by comedian Mark Watson, to celebrate their achievements, see some old friends and make new ones at what everyone knows is the best party in UK construction.

Lesniak Swann picked up three awards, including PR Agency of the Year, on the back of some big contract wins and great work across the year. Small Agency of the Year went to Ripple with Koozai getting a High Commendation from the judges.

A. Proctor Group went home with two trophies, winning the Best Product Launch and Best use of Advertising awards, as did Pick Everard winning the Best Branding & Positioning trophy and the Best Professional Services Marketing Campaign award.

The Best Campaign Targeting Skilled Trades – a new category this year, supported by new sponsors Fix Radio – attracted entries from several companies that haven’t previously taken part in the awards. However, the winners were Prysmian, working with Ridgemount, with British Gypsum aided by Rock Kitchen Harris being Highly Commended.

Gleeds won Best use of Website, James Hardie picked up the Best use of Events & Live Marketing trophy for its UK wide Plank Challenge roadshow and James Latham won Best Distributor Marketing Campaign.

Katherin Douglas of Kilwaughter Mineral scooped Young Marketer of the Year, and Emma Woodley from Cirkle won Emerging Agency Star of the Year, narrowly pipping Holly Richards from WAA Chosen who was Highly Commended.
