This award recognises exceptional early-career marketing professionals working in-house within the construction and built environment sector. It celebrates individuals who are making a measurable impact, demonstrating initiative, and showing real potential to become future industry leaders.

 

This category is open to client-side professionals in any role, from entry level to director, who are aged under 35 on 31 July 2026. Individuals may enter themselves or be nominated by a manager or company.

How entries are judged

Entries in this category are assessed against five equally weighted criteria. Each criterion is scored out of 10, giving a total maximum score of 50.

Judges will award marks based on:

  • Performance (10 points)
    Evidence of strong individual contribution and delivery against objectives
  • Innovation and development (10 points)
    The extent to which the individual demonstrates innovation and commitment to learning and growth
  • Exceeding objectives set (10 points)
    Evidence that the individual has gone beyond expectations and contributed to business outcomes
  • Creativity and originality (10 points)
    The quality of creative thinking and originality in marketing activity
  • Recognition of quality (10 points)
    Evidence of recognition, impact, or influence within the organisation

What to include in your entry

Entries should clearly address each of the following areas, which form the basis of judging:

Performance
• Demonstrated consistent high performance across marketing or communications activity
• Delivered work aligned with organisational objectives and priorities

Innovation and development
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, or new ways of working
• Showed a clear commitment to learning, development, and professional growth

Exceeding objectives set
• Provided clear examples of exceeding expectations and contributing to business outcomes
• Demonstrated measurable impact on campaigns, projects, or performance

Creativity and originality
• Demonstrated strong creative thinking in campaigns, content, or communications
• Showed originality in approach, messaging, or execution

Recognition of quality
• Demonstrated recognition from colleagues, stakeholders, or the wider organisation
• Provided evidence of influence, credibility, or contribution beyond core responsibilities

Entry requirements

  • Entries must include a portrait photograph of the nominee
  • Submissions must be countersigned by the individual’s manager

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their submission to the judging panel via Zoom (date to be confirmed). A manager or senior company representative must attend the start of the interview session.

Judges will be looking for individuals who combine skill and ambition with a passion for marketing — and who are helping to shape the future of their organisation and the wider industry.
