Catherine Fyfe – Group Marketing Director, Genuit Group
What is your role at Genuit Group?
As Group Marketing Director I develop and lead on the Genuit brand strategy and work with all the businesses in the group to find ways to collaborate and create synergies across the group to the benefit of our customers.
Since disasters such as Grenfell, what lessons have you learnt when it comes to construction marketing?
A lot. Most of which you can find in the Code for Construction Product Information. Construction product manufacturers have a big role to play in the building of the places we live work and play. Improving our processes, practices and competency around product information is essential.
Having been the NBCA Gold Winner for Women in Construction, how do you think more women could be encouraged to enter the construction marketing world?
Mentorship is invaluable, whether across departments within your business or within school/universities; getting a true reflection of what its like to work in construction industry versus perception is important.
What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?
Balancing a career and family. I love both so giving my all to both leaves little room for anything else!
